Winter Seminars begin on January 15th. Feel free to jump in any time.
Because our gathering together to sing God's praises and hear His Word is central to our life together, we encourage adults and families to make participation in the Sunday morning worship services their first priority. As a complement to the worship service, we also offer these Sunday morning topical Life Together Seminars.
Doctrine of Creation of Man; Mankind as Male & Female
9:30am, Founder's Hall A – January 15-April 2
Why did God create us? What does it mean when the Bible says that he made us in his own image? And why did God create two sexes? Can men and women be equal and yet have different roles? How can we please him as we live our everyday lives? This winter we’ll take a look at what the Bible says about who we are as men and women. If you're interested in understanding and discussing what Scripture says about this important doctrine of the Christian faith, you'll want to attend this class.
Facilitated by Wayne Brown, Al Streder and Ron Johnston
9:30am, Founder's Hall B – January 15-February 19
A 6-Week Study on Sharing the Gospel While the book of Acts challenges us to MULTIPLY, and while we want to continue to SHINE for Jesus, it can be overwhelming when we think about evangelism. And while many Christians feel that they don't know how to share the gospel, in this seminar you will be encouraged & empowered to see our daily routines as opportunities to care and to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those we know and love. During this DVD driven seminar with evangelist Greg Laurie, we believe you will actually have fun! Along with Greg's help and thoughts, we will have plenty of time to share and encourage each other in our time.
Facilitated by Chip & Lisa Neuenschwander
Draw Near to the Heart of God - Part II - A Study of the Book of Hebrews: Chapters 5-10
9:30am, Fireside Room – January 15-April 2
A Bible Study series on the Permanence, Sufficiency, Preeminence, and Superiority of Jesus Christ! let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, Hebrews 10:22 Jesus is the One upon whom our faith rests and depends, from start to finish. The major purpose of Hebrews is to challenge and encourage one's spiritual development and maturity in Christ so to resist temptations and persecution by the building up of mutual faith and knowledge of Christ. Hebrews is about the God who is here, the One who speaks. He is the God of promise and fact; He is the fulfillment of the Old Testament; all that came before pointed to Him. He is supreme over all! Come join us as we learn about the superiority of the New Covenant in session 2 of this seminar.
Facilitated by Ron & Cyndie Hamley
